I Love This Career
Since becoming a Realtor early in 2006, I've really enjoyed helping people buy and sell homes. I had previously been the business manager of a local motorcycle dealership when my mother, Dorothy Merritt, asked me to join her in real estate. I already had a sense of what was involved since Mom has been a realtor my whole life and had shared many experiences. I had a hard time believing that selling homes would be as much fun as selling motorcycles, but I was wrong. I guess it has helped that I consider myself to be in a service industry and not in a "sales" position. I devote my efforts to finding the best solution for my client's real estate needs. Helping people find their next home and/or marketing their current home has become a passion for me. It is a real pleasure to get to know the people I work with and many past clients have become good friends that I see often.
